Meet Ty and Kay Meyer, Owners
Speaking of family - this farm has been in the Meyer family since 1901. Ty and Kay Meyer are the current stewards of this beautiful place, 4th generation farmers. They moved home in 2007 with a dream to transform the barn and homestead into a country event venue and sharing this special place with others. Read more below about the Meyer family history and their story below.
From a young age, I have been captivated by the magic of weddings, and this admiration has blossomed into a true passion. It is a profound joy to be part of making couples' dreams come to life, turning their vision of the perfect day into a beautiful reality.
My most cherished piece of advice for all couples is this: Begin by creating a comprehensive list of everything you envision for your wedding day. Seek inspiration from Pinterest or consult with close friends for guidance. Once your list is complete, prioritize each element, from the most essential to the least. Focus on bringing your top priorities to life first, and as you move down the list, remember that it’s okay if certain details don’t come to fruition. Ultimately, the most important thing is that you are marrying the love of your life, and that love should always remain at the heart of your celebration.
I look forward to meeting you and wish you all the joy and happiness as you embark on this exciting journey of wedding planning.

Red Barn Farms Mission
At Red Barn Farms our purpose is deeply rooted in fostering community, nurturing healthy soil and vibrant farms and reconnecting people to farms, food and each other.
Community
We believe that a thriving community is the heart of any endeavor. Our family farm is open to all, creating a space where people come together, celebrate, and connect. Whether it’s a wedding celebration, farm experience, or learning event, we strive to build bonds that transcend the physical boundaries of our farm.
Healthy Soil, Healthy Life
The soil beneath our feet is the foundation of life. We honor this truth by practicing and teaching regenerative farming methods, enriching the land, and promoting biodiversity. Our commitment to soil health ensures that future generations are healthy and can reap the benefits of a healthy planet.
Family Legacy
Red Barn Farms is more than a business; it’s a legacy. Passed down through generations, we are the 4th generation dedicated to taking care of this gift and leaving it better than we found it. We aim to leave a lasting impact, not only on the land but also on the hearts of those who visit.
Servant Leadership
Leadership is not about authority; it’s about service. We lead by example, serving our community or guests. We encourage learning and growth, building a legacy on acts of kindness, and a genuine desire to uplift others.

History of Red Barn Farms
Red Barn Farms is not your ordinary farm! Oh it has it’s farm roots! It’s a Century Farm - a farm that has been owned and operated by four generations of Meyer family – founded in 1901. In 2007 Ty & Kay Meyer began the adventure of making it a wedding venue. Take a look at the history, dedication, and love the barn holds in it's century old timber frames.
Before Pictures
Christine and Florent Meyer settled here and built the farmhouse in 1902. Picture includes (from left,) Vince, Christine, Leona, Beatrice, Florent, & Walt. (Mildred, Shup, Monica, Ray, and Geneva were born after this picture was taken.) Click here for more history.

Interior of Barn - Lower side sheds (behind wood walls) were setup with stalls used for calving and wintering cattle. Loose hay then bales of hay filled the center of barn and upper side sheds to feed cattle through the winter.
Old shop and machine shed. Now the site of The Suites.
After Pictures
The original farm house is still the heart of the farm and home to the Meyer family. If these walls could talk they’d share the stories of happiness, hardships, births, deaths, and generations of life.
The Meyer family transformed the working barn and barnyard to 4-acres of Instagram-ready backdrops to capture special moments throughout your day - flowers, trees, paths, fences, lavender, and wheat fields and don’t forget our gorgeous sunsets!
Inside the barn renovations included new floor, foundation, lighting, timber joist repair, indoor restrooms. The original beams were fir trees from nearby Moscow Mountain.
The Suites - our new multi-purpose space: wedding dressing rooms, prep kitchen, small meeting and celebration space, and VRBO.
